Full job description HGV Class 2 Commercial Driver
*Location: Ipswich , Nationwide
*Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Driver to join our Transport team, based at our Ipswich Warehouse but operating nationally. This role is ideal for someone who demonstrates professionalism and a positive attitude towards customer service, ensuring best practices for maximum efficiency in delivering and collecting goods nationwide.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Day driving across the UK.
*Working hours are Monday to Friday, 50 hours per week between 04:00 and 22:00, with occasional overnight stays. Overtime available as required.
*Ensuring a professional and positive interaction with customers at all times.
*Adhering to safety standards, with full PPE provided including uniform, high-visibility clothing, and safety boots.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Minimum of 6 months’ HGV driving experience in the UK.
*Strong geographical knowledge of the UK.
*Ability to work accurately with great attention to detail.
*Good communication skills and ability to work to deadlines.
*Manual handling skills.
*A practical, flexible, and innovative approach to work.
*Full valid Driver’s Licence with Category C (CLASS 2) – preferably a clean license.
*Digital Tachograph, Drivers Qualification Card (DQC), and Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) Qualification.
