Make a Real Impact in Oncology Care Are you an experienced Chemotherapy Nurse looking for a role that blends hands-on clinical care with the opportunity to support and develop other clinicians?
Do you enjoy autonomy, variety, and the chance to influence both patient outcomes and clinical standards?
This unique field-based role offers the perfect next step for nurses who want to deliver exceptional oncology care while shaping the capability of a wider clinical workforce. About the Role Working autonomously across the South West region (EX areas), you will deliver high-quality oncology care directly to patients in their homes. You’ll administer a range of haematology and solid tumour chemotherapy treatments, ensuring safe, compassionate, person-centred care.
Alongside patient-facing work, you’ll also contribute to the development of other clinicians, helping to raise standards, build confidence, and embed best practice across services.
Key Responsibilities*Administer chemotherapy treatments in line with patient care plans
*Provide expert clinical assessment, IV therapy, cannulation, and phlebotomy
*Support and mentor other clinicians to enhance service quality
*Build long-term therapeutic relationships with patients and carers
*Document clinical data and adverse events accurately and promptly
*Travel independently across your regional area (full UK driving licence required)
What We’re Looking For To thrive in this role, you will be:
*NMC-registered
*Fully competent in administering a range of chemotherapy drugs
*Holder of a SACT Passport (preferred) or equivalent chemotherapy qualification
*Experienced in oncology care within hospital or community settings
*Skilled in IV administration, cannulation, phlebotomy, and clinical assessment
*Passionate about person-centred care and supporting others
