An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Geoenvironmental Engineer to join a well-established, employee-owned multidisciplinary engineering consultancy.
Based in and around Swindon with a head office in Leeds, this growing business delivers civil, structural and geoenvironmental services across a wide range of developments throughout the UK. The company is recognised for its technical excellence, collaborative culture and commitment to professional development.
The successful Geoenvironmental Engineer will receive a competitive salary (£28,000 - £34,000), ongoing training and career progression, exposure to diverse projects, flexible working arrangements, pension contributions and the opportunity to work within a supportive and forward-thinking team in Swindon.
The Geoenvironmental Engineer role will involve:
*Undertaking ground investigation and site inspection work
*Logging soil and rock samples to current industry standards
*Carrying out groundwater and soil sampling
*Producing factual and interpretative reports
*Supporting geotechnical assessments and contaminated land investigations
*Assisting with remediation strategies and risk assessments
*Liaising with clients, contractors and internal teams
*Supporting projects from initial site appraisal through to construction phases
To be considered for this Geoenvironmental Engineer position, candidates should ideally have:
*A degree in Geology, Engineering Geology or a related discipline
*Previous geoenvironmental or geotechnical consultancy experience
*Strong report writing and communication skills
*A full UK driving licence
*Full right to work in the UK
*The ability to commute to or live near the office
*Knowledge of ground investigation and contaminated land practices
