About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Sawyer to join our team in a specialist manufacturing environment. Working as part of a two-person team, you will support the heat treatment of classified rotating shaft components and carry out material cutting and preparation activities.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a structured, safety-focused industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
*Safely handle a range of materials using overhead cranes and forklift trucks (FLTs)
*Assist with furnace loading and unloading during heat treatment processes
*Operate a variety of saws to cut materials including Datalloy blooms, ingots, and shaft components
*Carry out Brinell hardness testing
*Follow QA procedures to ensure product traceability and identification
*Support general loading, unloading, and dispatch duties
*Record progress using a computer-based production system
*Maintain strict compliance with all health & safety standards
About You
*Experience in a steel/manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment (preferred)
*Strong focus on health, safety, and quality
*Ability to follow procedures accurately and work methodically
*Comfortable working as part of a small team
*Good level of reliability, timekeeping, and attendance
