Job Description:
Full job description*Annual Salary: £34,000 - £47,000 (inclusive of travel, depending on qualifications and experience)
*Location: West Horndon, Essex (covering sites across the UK, primarily in the Southeast)
*Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
We are seeking experienced, time-served Electrical Engineers to join a team as Field Service Engineers. This role is based out of their West Horndon branch and involves working on a variety of sites and installations across the UK, with a main focus on the Southeast. Ideal candidates will have a background in heavy engineering sectors and be skilled in electrical installations, fault finding, and testing.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Diagnose and repair electrical problems in commercial and heavy industry electrical systems, including fault-finding, rewiring, and monitoring.
*Conduct routine maintenance and testing on electrical systems, ensuring installations meet manufacturer standards.
*Read and interpret electrical drawings; training will be provided for specific requirements.
*Rewire faulty electrical systems to a high standard, upholding company standards, complying with building codes, and following safety requirements.
*Work independently to identify faults in electrical systems.
*Provide exceptional customer service, answering any customer queries professionally.
*Install electrical systems in accordance with 18th edition wiring regulations.
*Offer professional assessments and advice to customers.
*Manage work schedule effectively and participate in planned projects and outages as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Recognised Electrical Indentured Apprenticeship.
*Experience in fault finding, repair, installation, and commissioning.
*Good customer service skills and physical fitness due to job demands.
*Full, preferably clean, driving license.
*Ability to pass security clearances.
*Flexibility to work away from home and participate in out-of-hours call outs (1 in 5).
*Relevant knowledge and experience in heavy engineering sectors.
*Working knowledge of IEE regulations, City & Guilds 2360 and 2382 qualifications, and inspection and testing certificate (2391).
