Full job descriptionA leading, highly respected financial planning firm in London is seeking an organised, proactive and ambitious Financial Planning Administrator to join their Centralised Administration Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 6-12 months experience in financial services administration who is looking to build a long-term career within wealth management.
The Role
You will play a key part in supporting advisers and paraplanners, ensuring clients receive a seamless and professional service. This is a varied role where accuracy, ownership and strong communication are essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Managing and maintaining accurate client records and documentation
*Completing data entry to a high standard within agreed timelines
*Reviewing client reports to understand circumstances and advice rationale
*Preparing and submitting applications to product providers
*Processing fund switches, valuations and Letters of Authority
*Obtaining plan information and updating client files
*Liaising with providers, clients and internal teams to progress cases
*Handling client queries when advisers are unavailable
*Preparing review packs, schedules and meeting documents
*Managing the ongoing client review process and ensuring compliance standards are met
*Supporting month-end reporting and team objectives
*Attending team meetings and contributing to workflow updates
*Occasionally attending client meetings to provide administrative support
*Taking on more technical cases after your first year in the role
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
*Experienced: 6-12 months in a fast-paced financial services administration role
*Knowledgeable: good understanding of the advice process, pensions and investments
*Accurate: strong literacy, numeracy and attention to detail
*Organised: able to prioritise, manage workload and work under pressure
*Tech-confident: proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (Intelligent Office an advantage)
*Professional: able to communicate clearly, maintain confidentiality and build rapport
*Ambitious: keen to develop a long-term career in financial planning
