Location: South West, UK
Overview:
We are working with a leading UK loss adjusting organisation with over 40 years of experience providing high-quality claims solutions to the insurance market. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Loss Adjuster to join their Specialist Services division.
As a Loss Adjuster, you will play a key role in supporting a wide range of customers across Domestic, Commercial, Heritage, Environmental, High Net Worth (HNW), and Major & Complex Loss claims.
You will join a dedicated team of experienced adjusters who bring a strong collective background across these specialist areas. Many of the team are approved adjusters for specialist insurers and have a clear understanding of the unique challenges and requirements these types of claims involve.
Role Responsibilities:
*Investigating and managing property claims, ensuring a consistently high standard of technical quality is maintained throughout the life of each claim
*Producing detailed reports covering all aspects of the claim, including policy interpretation, quantum assessment, and recommended next steps
*Instructing, managing, and coordinating relevant experts as required
*Maintaining regular communication with all parties involved, including calculating and approving interim payments and preparing interim reports where needed
*Negotiating and agreeing claim settlements, and producing final reports
*Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of service delivery and expectation management
*Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required in line with business needs
Experience Required:
*Strong customer focus with a proven track record of delivering high levels of service within the loss adjusting sector
*Able to work independently, taking ownership of a caseload of claims while knowing when to seek support
*Consistently makes decisions and takes actions that improve service delivery for clients
*Builds trust and credibility by following through on commitments
*Communicates clearly and effectively in all situations, both written and verbal
*Actively seeks feedback and is committed to ongoing personal and technical development
*Strong organisational and communication skills
*Positive, proactive approach to problem-solving
*Able to manage and coordinate multiple tasks and priorities at the same time
*Comfortable working to targets and deadlines
*Hard-working, conscientious, and flexible, with the ability to adapt during busy periods or workload surges
