Job role:
*Process, check, and record purchase ledger invoices
*Reconcile supplier statements to ledger balances
*Create purchase order releases (up to £5k) and support invoice approval workflow
*Prepare weekly payment runs and BACs files for authorisation
*Process BACs, CHAPS, and e-remit payments and remittance advices
*Process employee expense claims, ensuring correct coding and journal preparation
*Upload journals into SUN system
*Process procurement card (Barclaycard) transactions and monthly reconciliations
*Support daily bank reconciliations on rotation, including statement downloads
*Investigate and report discrepancies to the Finance Manager
*Ensure accurate reflection of bank balances
*Maintain supplier records including address and bank details
*Prepare and process vendor amendment forms
*Verify supplier bank detail changes directly with suppliers
*Prepare accruals and prepayments journals
*Complete balance sheet reconciliations (VAT, debtors, payroll-related accounts)
*Support production of accurate monthly accounts
*Raise sundry sales invoices (scrap, rentals, etc.) and manage collections
*Issue statements for overdue accounts and follow up as required
*Process cash receipts, banking, and associated journals
*Manage petty cash, ensuring proper records and reconciliation
*Respond to internal queries regarding cost codes and suppliers
*Maintain accurate filing systems for audit and retrieval
Person Spec:
· Experience working within a similar role
· Available to start in June
