£450 to £470 per day (Umbrella rate).
Hybrid - Location Stratford London.
We are seeking a technically strong Project Engineer / Technology Engineer to support innovation projects across the HS1 asset base. The role will focus on automation, digital technologies, and improving maintenance efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities*Deliver innovation and technology projects across HS1
*Support automation of inspection and maintenance activities
*Implement emerging technologies and digital solutions
*Drive operational efficiency and asset performance improvements
*Engage with engineering, operations, and external technology partners
Essential Skills & Experience*Experience delivering technology or innovation projects
*Exposure to drones and/or remote condition monitoring
*Strong technical mindset with software/systems understanding
*Ability to work autonomously and engage senior stakeholders
*Experience working in a regulated engineering environment
Desirable*Rail, infrastructure, or asset management experience
*Exposure to AI, automation, digital inspection, or smart technologies
*Knowledge of One Big Circle, AiVR, or Transmission Dynamics
Qualifications*Degree in Engineering, Technology, Software, or Computer Science (desirable)
*Chartered Engineer status, or working towards, preferred
