Requirements for the role of Geotechnical Monitoring Technician:
*Experience within geotechnical, construction, surveying, or monitoring environments
· Understanding of geotechnical and structural monitoring equipment
· Ability to solve problems and work independently on site
· Experience working outdoors in challenging environments
· Strong communication skills and ability to complete detailed site reports
· Good IT skills and confidence using monitoring software and data systems
· Capable of physical work, lifting, carrying, and climbing
· Full UK driving licence
Duties and responsibilities:
*Installation and maintenance of geotechnical and structural monitoring equipment
· Carrying out monitoring surveys using total stations, inclinometers, piezometers, crack gauges, and vibration monitors
· Downloading, processing, and reviewing monitoring data
· Conducting routine inspections and fault finding on instrumentation systems
· Assisting with automated monitoring system installations
· Producing accurate field records and technical reports
· Liaising with engineers, site managers, and contractors on site activities
· Ensuring all monitoring activities are completed in accordance with health & safety standards
· Supporting project mobilisation and demobilisation activities
· Travelling to various project sites as required
