Full job descriptionInterim Estates SupervisorLocation: London - Walthamstow
Rate: £250 per day (Umbrella)
Contract: 6 Months
We are working with a large education provider to appoint an Interim Estates Supervisor on a 6-month contract. This is a hands-on role, combining day-to-day maintenance responsibilities with supervision of the estates team and contractors across site.
This is a newly created position, offering the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future structure, processes, and strategic direction of the Estates function.
Key Responsibilities*Carry out hands-on maintenance within your technical discipline (mechanical/electrical/building services)
*Supervise and support an in-house multi-skilled estates team
*Manage and coordinate external contractors on site
*Issue and oversee Permit to Work systems
*Plan and manage both reactive and PPM works via CAFM/helpdesk systems
*Take lead responsibility for water hygiene compliance, ensuring statutory standards are met
*Contribute to the development and implementation of new estates processes and procedures
*Support wider estates leadership in driving service improvements
Essential Requirements*Time-served or trained in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Maintenance
*Demonstrable experience supervising in-house teams and contractors
*Proven experience managing water hygiene in large buildings, with recent training evidence
*Background working in large, high-occupancy environments (e.g. hospitals, colleges, universities)
*Experience using CAFM/helpdesk systems to manage reactive and planned works
*Strong understanding of Permit to Work systems
Additional Information*Enhanced DBS is required due to the educational setting
