Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm
Pay Rate: £13.40 per hour (rising to £13.60 upon permanent contract)

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative with a Counterbalance Forklift licence to join a busy and supportive team based in Chelmsford.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering long-term stability for the right candidate. You will be working across two warehouse buildings, supporting both goods in and goods out operations in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Reading and marking off picking lists
*Regular use of a counterbalance forklift
*Locating stock using warehouse location codes
*Picking, packing, and palletising orders for dispatch
*Labelling products accurately
*Replenishing stock using a pump truck
*Manual handling of goods (lifting up to 25kg)
*Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse
*Unloading containers and stripping pallets
*Identifying and resolving stock or location errors
*Communicating effectively with internal departments
*Supporting with general warehouse duties as required
Essential Skills & Experience
*Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (externally accredited)
*Full UK driving licence and own transport (due to location)
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy
*Good communication and teamwork skills
*Ability to prioritise and manage workload efficiently
*Comfortable with manual handling (lifting up to 25kg)
*Confident using ladders when required
*Basic understanding of Health & Safety
*Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
*Previous warehouse or picking & packing experience
