Job Description:
This VP-level Technical Systems Analyst role will play a key part in delivering a new data platform focused on Risk and ESG reporting. You will bridge business and technology, driving requirements, data design, and system implementation across a highly regulated environment.

Description
*Lead technical and functional analysis for ESG and risk-focused data initiatives
*Gather, document, and translate business and system requirements into detailed technical specifications
*Support the implementation of a new data platform, including integration, configuration, and deployment
*Work closely with business, data governance, and technology teams to ensure end-to-end solution delivery
*Design and maintain data models, schemas, and database structures
*Develop data lineage, mapping, and flow across complex system landscapes
*Collaborate with architects and engineers on data pipelines, integration patterns, and metadata frameworks
*Ensure compliance with ESG regulations and data governance standards (e.g., BCBS239)
*Support agile delivery, including user story definition, testing, and validation
Profile
*10+ years’ experience in technical/business systems analysis within financial services
*Strong background in data analysis, data modelling, and database design
*Proven experience working on risk, regulatory, or ESG-related initiatives
*Strong technical skills, including SQL and Python
*Experience producing technical requirements documentation and working across full SDLC
*Strong understanding of data lineage, data governance, and regulatory frameworks
*Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams
*Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with engineering and QA teams
*Familiarity with modern data platforms (Azure, Databricks) is advantageous
Job Offer
*Competitive daily rate between GBP 510 and GBP 890. INSIDE IR35
*A challenging and rewarding role within the financial services industry.
*Opportunity to work with a leading organisation in London. (2-3 days per week)
*6 month contract initially.
