Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe’re looking for a WEEE and Electronics Specialist for our public sector client on a 12-month contract (Inside IR35).
This role is hybrid, with 3 days per week on-site at one of the following locations: Bristol, London, Newcastle or York.
The successful WEEE and Electronics Specialist will bring deep practical knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment, including collection, repair, reuse and recycling programmes. You will shape policy delivery under the Circular Economy Growth Plan, advise on strategies to improve recovery rates and contribute technical insights that translate into effective, workable regulation.
You will need proven experience working with the following:
*Electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) systems, including collection, repair, reuse and recycling
*Advising on WEEE regulations, hazardous substances compliance or RoHS alignment
*Developing policy proposals and preparing evidence-based papers and presentations for senior stakeholders
*Stakeholder engagement across manufacturers, recyclers, repair networks and regulators
*Strategic planning and situating technical work within wider circular economy programmes
Experience in the reuse and remanufacturing space, with the ability to think creatively about keeping electrical equipment and components in circulation longer, would be particularly welcomed.
