We are looking for outstanding Kitchen Assistants who’s passionate about food and wants to make a difference.


You’ll be working part time 22 hours a week (hours will be discussed at interview) at Tupwood Gate Nursing Home.


Tupwood Gate is a Nursing Home located in the quiet residential town of Caterham in Surrey, providing outcome-focused care for adults who may be physically frail, with a diagnosis of dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. Tupwood Gate provides short stay or longer-term care, offering award-winning end of life care.


Your Day-to-Day…


*Assist the team in the providing balanced, appetising meals
*Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties
*Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately
*Sort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering
*Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic
*Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
*Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations


You are…


*Passionate about catering, preferably with experience within a care setting
*Enthusiastic, keen to learn and an active team member
*Polite & professional, with a positive attitude at all times

*Diligent & take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness
