About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and strategic leader to join a senior curriculum team as Assistant Director: Business and Professional within a Further education establishment.
This is a pivotal role at an exciting time, as they accelerate their ambition to be recognised as one of the highest-performing further education providers in the region. You will play a key role in shaping and delivering a high-quality, future-focused curriculum across dynamic and growth-oriented subject areas.
What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Director of Curriculum, you will:
*Lead and drive curriculum innovation and redesign aligned to employer and regional skills needs
*Improve student outcomes, attendance, and progression across your areas
*Build and develop high-performing teams through effective leadership and accountability
*Strengthen employer partnerships and ensure provision reflects workforce demand
*Contribute to wider strategic priorities including quality improvement and growth
You will directly line manage four Curriculum and Standards Managers (CSMs), overseeing:
*Business
*Hospitality and Tourism
*Sport and Uniformed Services
*Early Years
Working collaboratively with your team, you will ensure excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment, while maintaining alignment with national priorities and local economic needs.
About You
We are looking for an inspiring and experienced leader who can drive continuous improvement and deliver impact at pace.
You will have:
*A degree (or equivalent professional qualification)
*A Level 5 (or above) teaching qualification
*Significant experience in teaching, learning, and assessment
*Proven experience of leading curriculum change and improvement
*A strong track record of enhancing student employability and progression outcomes
