Finance Assistant | Rapidly Growing Fashion Brand | Birmingham / Hybrid

Since launch, the business has experienced exceptional growth, scaling across multiple international markets while establishing itself as one of the most exciting emerging names within contemporary fashion.
Driven by a strong digital-first strategy, influencer partnerships, and a loyal customer base, the brand continues to expand at pace across ecommerce, wholesale, and international operations. As part of this continued growth journey, the business is now looking to strengthen its finance team with the addition of a Finance Assistant.

The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and ambitious finance professional looking to develop their career within a high-growth ecommerce and fashion business. Reporting into the wider finance team, you will support core transactional finance activities, month-end processes, and ongoing improvements to systems and controls as the business continues to scale.
The company operates internationally across the UK, Europe, and the US, offering excellent exposure to a multi-entity and rapidly evolving retail environment. You will work closely with teams across finance, operations, merchandising, and logistics, helping to ensure accurate reporting and smooth financial operations across the business.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and is excited by the opportunity to grow within a modern consumer brand.
Key Responsibilities
*Assist with maintaining the purchase ledger and processing supplier invoices
*Prepare weekly payment runs for approval
*Support the preparation of VAT returns and reconciliations
*Assist with month-end processes and year-end audit support
*Ensure freight, import duty, and stock-related costs are accurately recorded
*Perform supplier invoice checks and resolve discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams
*Support ongoing finance process improvements and controls
*Assist with payroll administration and preparation of payroll changes for approval
*Provide general administrative support to the finance team as required
What we need to see:
*Previous experience within a finance or accounts role
*Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of data
*Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
*A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
What we’d like to see:
*AAT part qualified or actively studying toward ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
*2+ years’ experience within a finance role
*Experience with Xero
*Proficient knowledge of payroll processes
*Experience within ecommerce, fashion, retail, consumer, or high-growth environments

Salary: £31,000-£34,000 + benefits + study support
