Location: Gloucestershire
Salary: MPS1 – UPS3 (£32,916 – £51,047) + TLR2A (£3,527) + SEND allowance (£2,787)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
Work location: In person
Reed Education are working in partnership with a forward-thinking and inclusive specialist setting in Gloucestershire to recruit a PSHE & RSE Lead Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role within a growing school environment supporting pupils with additional needs.
The Role:
As PSHE & RSE Lead, you will be responsible for delivering and developing a high-quality, inclusive curriculum while supporting wider school improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
*Leading and developing PSHE and Relationships & Sex Education provision across the school
*Inspiring and supporting colleagues, setting a clear vision for the subject
*Driving improvements in teaching, learning, and student outcomes
*Contributing to whole-school development and strategic planning
*Delivering high-quality teaching alongside leadership responsibilities
*Monitoring curriculum quality, pupil progress, and staff development
*Promoting wellbeing, safeguarding, and inclusive practices
The Ideal Candidate:
Essential:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
*Strong classroom practice with evidence of positive impact
*Up-to-date knowledge of PSHE, RSE, and curriculum developments
*Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
*A commitment to inclusive education and supporting all learners
Desirable:
*Previous leadership experience or readiness to step into a leadership role
*Experience working within SEND or specialist environments
About the Setting:
This is a specialist provision supporting pupils aged 4–16 with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language needs, SEMH, and cognitive learning differences. The setting offers a collaborative environment with a strong focus on inclusion, wellbeing, and tailored learning.
