Management Accountant - Hybrid working - Extensive Benefits
An opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a growing finance function, supporting multiple business areas and stakeholders.
This is a broad, hands-on role with responsibility for delivering accurate and timely financial information, alongside providing commercial insight to support decision-making at both operational and senior levels. You’ll work closely with leadership teams, acting as a key finance contact while also leading and developing a small team.
The Role
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including variance analysis
*Lead month-end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations
*Produce statutory accounts and support audit processes
*Manage cashflow forecasting and treasury activities
*Prepare and review VAT returns and ensure compliance
*Provide financial analysis and insight to senior stakeholders
*Support budgeting and forecasting processes
*Oversee sales and purchase ledgers, including debt management
*Report on capital expenditure and project performance
*Drive improvements across finance systems, processes and reporting
*Line manage and develop a small finance team
The Person
*Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
*Strong experience in management accounts, reporting and financial analysis
*Experience preparing statutory accounts and working with auditors
*Confident working with senior stakeholders and non-finance teams
*Strong Excel skills and experience using finance systems
*Proactive, analytical and commercially minded
*Previous team management or supervisory experience is beneficial
