About The School:
The school is looking for a Year 2 SEN TA to support a child who is selective mute. If you would like to work in an enriched and supportive environment as a Year 2 SEN TA, then this is the school for you! As a Year 2 SEN TA, you will be required to support one child throughout the day on a 1:1 basis. The school believes that children should be curious about learning and see themselves as lifelong learners. The start date for this Year 2 SEN TA role is September.
Key Responsibilities for a Year 2 SEN TA:
*Supporting an individual pupil
*Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.
*Work collaboratively as part of a team
*Observe and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
*Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.
Required Skills and Qualifications for a Year 2 SEN TA:
*Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
*Previous experience working in a Primary School
*Confident in using visual aids and/or Makaton
*Experience working with children with SEN
*Previous experience
