Vision Teaching are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive junior academy in the London Borough of Bromley to recruit an experienced and passionate SENCo for a September 2026 start.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving four-form entry school within a supportive Multi Academy Trust, where inclusion, pupil wellbeing and high achievement are central to the school’s ethos.
About the Role
The successful candidate will play a key strategic role in leading and developing SEND provision across the academy. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will ensure pupils with additional needs receive exceptional support and achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
This is a full-time, non-class-based position, combining strategic SEND leadership with targeted intervention teaching and occasional cover teaching responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead and manage SEND provision across the school
*Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice (2014)
*Develop and implement SEND strategy alongside senior leaders
*Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision
*Support teachers in delivering high-quality inclusive classroom practice
*Coordinate and review targeted interventions
*Deliver small-group interventions to support pupil progress
*Work collaboratively with parents, carers and external agencies
*Maintain accurate SEND records and oversee assessment processes
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*NASENCo qualification
*Experience coordinating SEND provision, ideally within a primary setting
*Strong understanding of SEND legislation and inclusive teaching strategies
*Excellent communication and leadership skills
*A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs
