Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Finance Manager to join a business based in Sheppey. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong all-round finance professional who can take ownership of core finance processes and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
*Preparing and submitting VAT Returns
*Managing PAYE and pension contributions
*Overseeing weekly and monthly payroll, including:
*Approximately 50 weekly payroll employees
*10–12 monthly/weekly payroll staff

*Maintaining and reconciling both Sales and Purchase Ledgers
*Producing accounts up to Trial Balance
*Supporting general finance operations and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
*Assisting with ad hoc finance tasks as required
Requirements
To be considered, candidates must be able to confidently and competently handle:
*End-to-end payroll processes (weekly and monthly)
*VAT, PAYE and pension administration
*Ledger management and reconciliations
*Preparation of financial data up to Trial Balance
Candidate Profile
*Proven experience in a similar Finance Manager or Senior Finance role
*Strong working knowledge of UK finance regulations (VAT, PAYE, pensions)
*Highly organised with strong attention to detail
*Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
*Comfortable handling a hands-on, transactional finance role
