The Role
My client is a well-established full-service law firm, with a specialist family law team supporting clients through relationship breakdowns with expert legal advice.
The firm is seeking an experienced and client-focused Family Solicitor to join its growing team in Derby. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an experienced family law specialist and support a wide range of clients navigating complex and sensitive legal matters.
You will handle your own caseload while contributing to a supportive and collaborative environment that prioritises constructive outcomes and minimises conflict wherever possible.

*Divorce and separation
*Civil partnerships and same-sex marriage
*Financial settlements on separation
*Family mediation
*Child arrangements and disputes
*Cohabitation disputes
*Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
*Domestic abuse matters
About the Team
You will work closely with an experienced and respected Family Law Partner alongside a well-honed team that follows best practice principles that emphasise negotiation and agreement as a non-confrontational approach wherever possible.
About you
*Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in Family Law
*Strong technical knowledge across a range of family law matters
*Excellent communication and client care skills
*Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and empathy
*A commitment to negotiation and achieving amicable outcomes where possible
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload
