Contract: Full-Time | Permanent Preferred (Fixed-Term or Long-Term Supply Considered)

Are you a passionate Religious Education teacher looking for a new opportunity in a supportive Northampton secondary school? Do you enjoy encouraging students to explore different beliefs, ethical issues, and philosophical ideas in an engaging and inclusive environment?
Tradewind Recruitment is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Northampton seeking a dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time position, with the school ideally looking to appoint permanently, although fixed-term contracts and long-term supply arrangements will also be considered.
The successful candidate will teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential KS5 opportunities depending on experience. You will join a supportive Humanities department committed to delivering engaging lessons that encourage curiosity, discussion, and critical thinking.
The role will involve:
*Teaching Religious Education across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 opportunities
*Planning and delivering engaging lessons that encourage discussion and reflection
*Supporting students of all abilities in a positive and inclusive learning environment
*Working collaboratively with the Humanities department to develop resources and curriculum content
*Encouraging students to think critically about religion, ethics, and contemporary issues
The ideal candidate will:
*Hold QTS/QTLS or an equivalent teaching qualification
*Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for Religious Education
*Be confident managing behaviour and creating a positive classroom environment
*Be committed to inclusive teaching and high standards of learning
*Be suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
