A well-established law firm based in the City of London is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual with a minimum of 3 years’ secretarial experience within a legal environment.
The RoleSupporting fee earners and the wider department, the successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial assistance while helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the team.
Key Responsibilities*Preparing, editing, and formatting legal documents, correspondence, and reports
*Managing diaries, arranging meetings, and coordinating schedules for senior stakeholders
*Providing comprehensive administrative support including scanning, filing, document management, and archiving
*Handling incoming calls professionally, taking accurate messages, and directing enquiries appropriately
*Assisting with billing processes, invoices, and related financial administration
*Maintaining accurate electronic and paper-based filing systems
*Supporting colleagues across the wider secretarial team during busy periods and annual leave cover
*Adapting to changing workloads and prioritising tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
About You*Minimum 3 years’ experience in a secretarial or legal support role
*Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
*Confident communicator with a professional and client-focused approach
*Proficient in Microsoft Office and document formatting
*Able to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure
*Flexible, reliable, and a strong team player
