An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Hastings this September. We are looking for a teacher who is committed to creating positive learning experiences for pupils with additional needs and who thrives in a collaborative and nurturing environment.
The role involves supporting children and young people with a range of complex needs, including autism spectrum conditions, SEMH needs, communication difficulties, and learning disabilities.
Main Duties
*Deliver personalised and engaging lessons that meet individual learning needs
*Support pupils in developing confidence, independence, and life skills
*Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and parents/carers
*Adapt teaching strategies to support a wide range of abilities and learning styles
*Contribute to EHCP reviews, assessments, and pupil progress tracking
*Foster a calm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
We Are Looking For Someone Who
*Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
*Has experience working with pupils with SEN, either in mainstream or specialist settings
*Demonstrates creativity, flexibility, and strong classroom practice
*Understands trauma-informed and inclusive approaches to education
*Builds positive and professional relationships with pupils and colleagues
*Is passionate about helping every learner succeed
