Full job descriptionAbout the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our supportive and inclusive special needs school in Brighton from September 2026. This is a permanent opportunity for an enthusiastic professional who is committed to helping children and young people with additional needs achieve their full potential.
You will work with pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, communication difficulties, moderate to severe learning difficulties and associated behavioural or sensory needs.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets
*Create a positive, nurturing, and structured learning environment
*Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and families
*Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records
*Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
*Contribute to annual reviews and multi-agency meetings where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*Experience working within SEN or specialist education settings
*A strong understanding of autism and additional learning needs
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills
*A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach
*Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
