External Works and Specialist Projects
Overview
We are looking for a Construction Estimator to join a specialist contractor delivering high quality external works and green infrastructure projects. Landscaping experience is not essential, training will be provided. A strong construction estimating background is key.
Key responsibilities
*Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents
*Produce detailed Bills of Quantities
*Prepare accurate cost estimates covering labour, materials, plant, and risk
*Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
*Compile full tender submissions
*Identify risks, assumptions, and cost saving opportunities
*Support value engineering and commercial discussions
Requirements
*Minimum 2 years experience as an Estimator within construction
*Strong understanding of construction drawings
*Experience producing Bills of Quantities
*Strong numerical and analytical skills
*Proficient in Excel and estimating software
*High attention to detail and strong organisation skills
Desirable
*Exposure to civils, external works, or landscaping
*Interest in green infrastructure or specialist projects
