We are working with an award-winning digital agency to recruit a talented WordPress Developer to join their growing technical team in Lincolnshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of digital projects, including large-scale WordPress websites, bespoke Laravel platforms and innovative AI-driven solutions. You’ll work closely with designers, developers and digital strategists to build scalable, high-performing websites and digital experiences for a broad client base.
Key Responsibilities
*Develop, maintain and support modern WordPress websites
*Build custom WordPress themes and bespoke functionality
*Integrate and manage third-party APIs and services
*Contribute to AI-powered features, automation tools and internal platforms
*Collaborate with designers to deliver responsive, pixel-perfect front-end experiences
*Write clean, modular and well-documented code
*Support ongoing improvements, maintenance and optimisation across projects
*Contribute to technical decisions and development best practices
Essential Skills & Experience
*Strong commercial experience in WordPress development
*Strong experience with custom WordPress themes, ACF, Gutenberg and bespoke functionality development
*Experience with PHP/Laravel or similar frameworks
*Strong understanding of REST APIs and integrations
*JavaScript experience, ideally with Vue js or Alpine js
*Experience using Git and modern deployment workflows
*Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Desirable Skills
*Experience with AI integrations and automation tools
*Knowledge of search technologies such as Algolia or Meilisearch
*Understanding of headless CMS architectures
*WooCommerce or ecommerce integration experience
*Familiarity with Tailwind, Vite or Docker
