Full job descriptionSchool Support Staff - Derby (DE21) - ASAP Start
Pay: £110 - £120 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Temporary / Long-term
Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday
We are currently recruiting for dedicated, reliable, and caring School Support Staff to join a supportive school in the Derby (DE21) area for an immediate start.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people in education and contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment.
Role Responsibilities:*Supporting pupils across the school with a range of needs
*Assisting teaching staff with classroom learning and activities
*Providing 1:1 and small group support where required
*Supporting behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
*Helping to implement support plans and school strategies
*Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
*Supporting the day-to-day running of the classroom and school
Requirements:*Experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable)
*Transferable skills from care, support work, youth work, or similar roles welcome
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Patient, calm, and adaptable approach
*Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
DBS Requirement:*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child & Adult) preferred
*OR willingness to obtain a new Child & Adult DBS before starting
