Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time
Pay: £15+ per hour
Academics are currently recruiting for a full-time School Caretaker to join a friendly and supportive school in Gravesend. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Caretaker, Site Assistant, or Facilities Operative looking for a long-term role within a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:*Opening, securing, and maintaining the school site
*Carrying out general caretaker duties, including basic maintenance and minor repairs
*Completing routine health & safety and site inspections
*Supporting with room setups for school events and activities
*Ensuring the school grounds remain clean, safe, and well maintained
*Assisting staff with ad-hoc site-related tasks
*Liaising with contractors and visitors where required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:*Previous experience as a Caretaker, Site Assistant, Facilities Operative, or similar role (preferred)
*A practical, proactive, and reliable approach
*Good understanding of health & safety procedures
*Ability to work independently and use initiative
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
