Job Title: Management Accountant /Senior Management Accountant
Salary:£55,000 + Benefits + Annual bonus based on Co targets
Working in beautiful offices Monday - Friday
Location: Wimbledon, Surbiton, New Malden, Battersea, Tooting, Putney, Fulham, Chelsea, Richmond, Southfields, Hammersmith, Earlsfield, Clapham, Vauxhall, Waterloo.
Our client, a well established reputable business are seeking an experienced and fully qualified Management Accountant to join their growing finance team. The role partners with Project Managers, Commercial Managers and Senior Stakeholders to ensure robust financial control. You will have key commercial responsibilities within the business including assisting with preparation of budgets, forecasting and financial analysis. A challenging and varied role, reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with the Financial Controller, you will be required to have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to work effectively.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and variance analysis.
*Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
*Prepare post and review monthly journals including accruals, prepayments and deferred income.
*Manage the Fixed Asset Register, including additions, disposal and depreciations.
*Deliver month-end processes to agreed timelines
*Prepare and submit VAT returns (UK quarterly and Irish bimonthly)
*Support the external audit process, liaising with auditors and providing required information
*• Support the budgeting, forecasting and cashflow reporting.
*Conduct variance analysis on overheads (e.g. IT, Marketing and other cost centres), identifying key trends and cost drivers
*Manage CRM to finance system data imports and reconciliations
* Provide financial analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making
*Support the finance team with transactional accounting activities where required
*Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls
Skills and Experience
*Fully qualified ACCA / CIMA
* Previous experience working with Sage 200 (or similar systems)
*Project accounting experience would be advantageous
*Experience of Revenue Recognition and WIP (Work in Progress).
*Good Microsoft Excel skills - Minimum pivot table and look ups.
*Confident verbal and written communication skills
*Good team working skills and a positive, pro-active attitude
*Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload with established timescale
