Full job descriptionAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Management Accountant to join a business in Cannock during a key transition period. This role is suited to a hands-on finance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and can quickly add value to the wider business and be on-site 5 days a week.
Supporting the finance team, you will play a key role in delivering accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and strong business partnering across operations. You’ll also contribute to process improvements and support the business with budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and supporting analysis
*Support the month-end process, including reconciliations and variance analysis
*Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
*Produce regular financial reports for senior management
*Partner with operational teams to provide meaningful financial insight
*Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies
*Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
*Support audit requirements and provide ad hoc financial analysis when needed
About You
*Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience
*Previous experience in a Management Accountant role within a commercial environment
*Strong understanding of month-end processes, reporting, and financial analysis
*Proficient in Excel and accounting systems such as Sage, SAP, or Oracle
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across finance and non-finance teams
*Able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
*Previous interim or contract experience is advantageous
