Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Poole | Earn up to £53,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
We’re recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business in Poole. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will:
*Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
*Diagnose and rectify faults on production and site equipment
*Work on extruders, thermoformers, compressors, conveyors, pumps and HVAC systems
*Assist with machinery installations and commissioning
*Complete maintenance reports and documentation
*Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
*Manage spare parts and inventory levels
*Work closely with production teams and contractors
What we’re looking forTo be successful in this Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role in Poole, you’ll need:
*A recognised mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, ONC or HNC)
*Experience in a manufacturing environment
*Strong Mechanical Engineering knowledge
*Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and HVAC systems
*Knowledge of PPM systems
*Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Desirable skills include welding, fabrication and abrasive wheels training.
This role operates on a Panama shift pattern, covering days, nights and weekends, averaging 42 hours per week.
