An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Principal Planner to join a highly respected multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong presence across the UK. This is a fantastic role for an ambitious planning professional looking to take the next step within a collaborative and commercially focused environment.
Working as part of an established planning team, you will lead on a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, mixed-use, strategic land and regeneration schemes throughout Wales and the wider UK.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client relationships, delivering planning strategies and supporting the continued growth of the Cardiff office.
Key Responsibilities:
*Managing a wide range of planning applications and appeals
*Providing strategic planning advice to clients and stakeholders
*Preparing planning appraisals, representations and policy submissions
*Leading client meetings and project teams
*Mentoring junior planners and contributing to team development
*Supporting business development activities and networking initiatives
Requirements:
*MRTPI qualified
*Proven experience within either consultancy or local authority planning
*Strong knowledge of the UK planning system
*Excellent report writing and communication skills
*Ability to manage projects independently and work collaboratively within a team
*Commercial awareness and strong client-facing skills
