We are recruiting a full-time BSL Learning Support Assistant in Newcastle upon Tyne within a specialist educational setting focused on inclusion, communication and personalised support.
This is a role where your British Sign Language skills can make an immediate and lasting difference, helping learners access education confidently and independently.

Responsibilities
• Provide 1:1 and classroom support using British Sign Language
• Support communication between learners, teachers and peers
• Help adapt learning to ensure full access to lessons
• Encourage learner independence and confidence
• Build positive and trusting relationships
Skills & Qualities
• Level 2 or Level 3 BSL qualification preferred, or relevant experience
• Patient, empathetic and adaptable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
