Lead Data Scientist | Cardiff / Remote | Engineering | AI & DataWe’re supporting a growing technology business looking to hire a Lead Data Scientist to help shape and scale their AI and machine learning capability.
This role combines hands-on technical delivery with leadership responsibilities, working closely with Engineering, Product and Operations teams to deliver production-ready ML solutions that drive real business value.
You’ll lead a team of Data Scientists while remaining heavily involved in modelling, NLP/LLM initiatives and predictive analytics projects.
What you’ll be doing*Leading technical decision making across Data Science

*Working closely with Data Engineering and AI teams
*Coaching and mentoring Data Scientists
*Improving model governance and ML best practice
Tech stackPython, SQL, TensorFlow, PyTorch, AWS/Azure, SageMaker, NLP, LLMs, MLOps

*Experience leading teams or technical functions
*Strong cloud and ML deployment knowledge
