Location: Altrincham
A leading organisation in Altrincham is looking for a Finance Operations Assistant to join its finance team. Offering a salary of £28,000 plus generous pension contributions, this role provides the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where accuracy, teamwork, and customer service are highly valued. Key Responsibilities*Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and in line with company procedures.
*Carry out 3-way matching of purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
*Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
*Support internal and external audits by preparing relevant documentation.
*Ensure compliance with VAT and financial regulations.
*Respond promptly and professionally to supplier and internal queries.
*Support colleagues across teams and share knowledge where needed.
*Identify and support process improvements within accounts payable operations.
*Take corrective action when errors are identified.
*Build strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring*Previous experience in accounts payable or finance operations.
*Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and filters.
*Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
*Experience with SAP, VIM, or other ERP systems is beneficial but not essential.
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
*A proactive and adaptable approach to work.
*Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
*Ability to manage workloads accurately in a fast-paced environment.
