Temp to perm – Immediate Start
We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a business based in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, offering stability and progression for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
*Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
*Accruals and pre payments
*Raising and managing purchase orders
*Updating and maintaining jobs on the company haulage system
*Ensuring jobs are correctly processed prior to sales invoice generation
*Supporting the credit control function, including chasing outstanding debt
*Assisting with general finance administration and reporting
*Liaising with internal departments to ensure accurate job costing and invoicing
*Month end duties
The Ideal Candidate:
*Previous experience in a similar role
*Strong understanding of purchase ledger and sales processes
*Experience working with job costing or haulage systems (desirable)
*Confident working in a fast-paced and evolving environment
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy
*Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
