A leading organisation in Warrington is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join its finance team. Key Responsibilities*Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and in line with company procedures.
*Perform 3-way matching of purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
*Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
*Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
*Ensure compliance with VAT and financial regulations.
*Respond professionally to supplier and stakeholder queries.
*Support colleagues across sub-teams and share knowledge where needed.
*Assist with process improvements and implement practical solutions.
*Take corrective action when errors are identified.
What You’ll Bring*2+ years experience in accounts payable or invoice processing within a finance environment.
*Strong Excel skills, including reconciliations, pivot tables, and filters.
*Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
*SAP (ECC6/S4), VIM, or ERP system experience is desirable.
*High attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of invoices accurately.
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
*Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
*Flexibility to support different teams as business needs change.
*A proactive approach to process improvement.
