Full job descriptionDelighted to be partnered with a well established business to support the recruitment of a Interim Payroll Manager
Key Responsibilities
*Manage and oversee end-to-end payroll operations across:
*Weekly payroll/Monthly payroll
*Process high-volume payroll for approximately 1,600 UK employees
*Ensure all payrolls are delivered accurately and in line with deadlines and compliance requirements
*Supervise a team of 3 payroll staff, providing guidance and support
*Manage payroll queries and resolve escalations efficiently
*Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation (tax, NI, pensions, statutory payments)
*Maintain and validate payroll data integrity within the system
*Produce and review payroll reports, reconciliations, and submissions
*Work closely with HR and Finance to ensure smooth payroll operations
Key Requirements
*Proven experience in a Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll position
*Strong experience managing high-volume payroll (1,000+ employees preferred)
*Hands-on experience processing both weekly and monthly payrolls
*Essential: Sage Payroll experience
*Previous experience managing or mentoring a small team
*Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation
*Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
