We are seeking a Year 4 tutor to provide 1:1 Maths and English tuition for a young person currently not accessing school but remaining on roll. The purpose of this tuition is to support re-engagement with learning and work towards reintegration into an education setting.
S has experienced disruption in the early stages of learning, which is impacting his ability to fully access a classroom. S is on the SEN register for SEMH but does not have any specific learning difficulties. He would benefit from a tutor who has an understanding of attachment-related needs and can provide calm, consistent support.
Key details:
*1:1 tuition - only introduced once a relationship has been built
*Duration: 1 hour per week ( £25-£30 an hour )
*Focus on rebuilding confidence and re-engaging with learning
*Aim to support gradual reintegration into education
If you are seeking additional hours, we work closely with the Local Authority to provide alternative provision for a range of young people, offering opportunities to work with multiple students and build a fuller timetable.
Requirements:
*Minimum6 months’ experience working within a UK-based education setting
*Ability to deliver structured Maths support at primary level
*Experience or understanding of SEMH and attachment needs
