Salary: £28,000 - £29,000
Hours: 36.25 hours, alternate weekends
We’re working with a well-respected family-owned garden centre business in Manchester to find an Assistant Horticultural Manager for their vibrant plant area. This is a great opportunity to step up and join a local growing business who value the development of its employees.
You’d be supporting the plant area manager at their flagship site, helping to manage a team of 5, and making sure that the plant area is running smoothly, with well-maintained plants, outstanding merchandising, and excellent customer service.
Main Responsibilities:
*Support the plant area manager to ensure the plant area is running smoothly
*Leading and directing a team
*Focus on developing the team
*Delivering excellent customer service
*Maintaining high standards of merchandising and plant care
*Assisting with stock management and buying
About you:
*Horticultural knowledge or experience is desired
*A genuine passion for plants
*A love for customer service
*Confident working in a hands-on environment
*A positive attitude
