Pay: £26,400 to £27,360
Location: Doncaster
Reporting to: Senior Residential Worker / Deputy Manager / Registered Manager
About the Role
We are looking for a committed Residential Care Worker to support children and young people in a residential setting. You will provide high-quality, therapeutic care, helping to meet their emotional, social, and developmental needs while ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
This role involves shift work, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide safe, nurturing, and relationship-based care to children and young people
*Support care plans, risk assessments, and daily routines
*Build positive, trusting relationships and act as a role model
*Promote education, health, and personal development outcomes
*Act as a key worker, supporting individual needs and goals
*Maintain accurate records, reports, and case files in line with regulations
*Work in partnership with social workers, schools, health professionals, and families
*Support young people to access activities, advocacy, and services
*Contribute to a safe and well-maintained home environment
Safeguarding & Compliance
*Follow all safeguarding and child protection procedures
*Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and relevant legislation
*Support safe administration of medication
*Report concerns and incidents appropriately
General Duties
*Work flexibly on a rota basis, including sleep-ins
*Drive company vehicles (where required)
*Participate in training, team meetings, and handovers
*Support the overall smooth running of the home
