Pay Rate: £14.19 per hour

Hours:
*Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–3:30pm
*Friday: 7:30am–1:15pm

Contract: 12-week temporary role, with potential to move to a fixed-term contract for the right candidate

We’re looking for a skilled Gardener to join our team in Harlow. This hands-on role is perfect for someone passionate about horticulture and keen to make a real difference in the community’s parks and landscaped areas.
What You’ll Do:
Prepare ground for planting and seeding using mechanical and hand tools

Plant shrubs, hedging, and trees to best practice standards

Carry out aftercare to ensure successful establishment of new landscaping

Contribute to bulb areas, perennials, and specialist horticultural features

Maintain shrubs and hedges through pruning and cutting back

Clear leaves, litter, and arisings from horticultural operations

Control weeds in beds and hard surfaces using mechanical and chemical methods

Cut grass occasionally and carry out cultural maintenance

Form and maintain neat grass edges where appropriate

Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely

Ensure health and safety compliance at all times
What We’re Looking For:
Practical gardening and horticultural experience

Ability to use mechanical and hand tools confidently

Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
*Experience in landscape improvement projects
*Knowledge of green space maintenance
