Got strong plant knowledge, but have not had the chance to get into sales yet?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, ornamental nursery with a loyal customer base and a reputation for quality and service.
They’re open-minded on background - if you know your plants and enjoy talking to people, they’ll support you to develop the sales side.

What’s the job?
You’ll join the office-based team, learning the commercial side of the business while supporting existing customers and gradually getting involved in sales activity.
You don’t need to be a finished salesperson; they’re looking for a passion for horticulture and a drive to learn.
Day to day, you’ll be:
*Handling customer enquiries and preparing quotations
*Learning how orders are processed and managed through to delivery
*Supporting existing customers and building new relationships over time
*Advising customers on plant selection and availability
*Working closely with the team to keep everything running smoothly
*Supporting new product ranges and learning what drives sales
*Visiting key customers
*Attending trade shows
*Work closely with the sales manager to create a business development plan
You’ll start by learning the business inside out, then gradually take on more responsibility, including account management and business development.
What do I need?
*Strong plant knowledge - whether that be from working in a garden centre, nursery or soft landscaping role.
*A genuine interest in developing a career in horticulture sales
*Confidence speaking to customers and building relationships
*Good organisation and willingness to learn
*A team-focused, hands-on attitude
*Full UK driving licence
