Full job descriptionMaintenance Technician - 30 hours per week
We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our student accommodation safe, well maintained, and welcoming. You’ll handle reactive repairs, planned maintenance, painting and decorating, and support the smooth day-to-day running of the building.
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPMs).
*Complete painting, decorating, and general upkeep tasks.
*Maintain shared spaces and apartments to a high standard.
*Conduct health & safety compliance checks including fire alarms, emergency lighting, and legionella testing.
*Keep accurate maintenance and safety records.
*Support inspections, events, and wider site activities.
*Provide a friendly and professional service to residents, keeping them informed on maintenance updates.
Skills & Experience
*Experience in building maintenance, facilities, or a similar role.
*Skilled in painting, decorating, and general repairs.
*Good understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements.
*Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented.
*Strong communication and customer service skills.
*Trade qualifications or certifications such as NVQ or 18th Edition are desirable but not essential.
Additional Information
*30 hours per week.
