Full job descriptionJob Title: Workflow / Stock Inventory Controller
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
Depot: Aylesbury
Main Duties
Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Manager and Depot Manager, the purpose of the Workflow / Stock Inventory Controller is to manage the workflow into the warehouse, plan and fix shorts on orders and ensure there is adequate work for the warehouse operatives. Checking that picked orders are correct to ensure full customer satisfaction. Complete cycle and audit counts to ensure both systems are correct.
Key Skills
• Plan order waves to be processed, while ensuring workflow balance throughout the depot.
• Build and prioritise customer orders into waves that ensure a balance of workflow through the facility, and ensure the requirements of the business are met.
• Research inventory to fill the wave shortage and communicate information to the management and distribution team.
• Ensure errors are corrected in a timely manner without interruption to the workflow.
• Quality control of outbound orders, ensuring the right products and quantity have been picked.
• Conduct cycle count methods with a view to reducing the need for annual stock takes, and assist with stock audits on a weekly basis.
• Investigate and provide a data report on discrepancies, losses and damages.
• Being able to prioritise workloads.
• Flexible approach to working.
Knowledge and Experience:
• Experience in stock control.
• Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
• Excellent IT skills, including experience with WMS/ERP systems, Excel and office.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Commitment to go above and beyond the norm in ensuring the smooth operation of the distribution centre.
The working pattern for this role is Sunday-Thursday.
