SEN Teaching Assistant - SouthamptonProspero Teaching are working with a range of mainstream and SEN schools across Southampton who are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students with a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEN). These roles involve supporting pupils both in class and on a 1:1 basis, helping them access learning and develop confidence.
We are looking for Teaching Assistants who:
*Have a calm, patient, and compassionate approach
*Can build positive and trusting relationships with students
*Are proactive, adaptable, and resilient
*Are confident supporting children with additional needs in structured settings
*Recognise and celebrate small achievements in student progress
Contract details:
*Location - Southampton, Hampshire
*Position - SEN Teaching Assistant
*Start date - ASAP
*Contract type - Long term supply or temp to perm
*Duration - Ongoing
*Full time - Full time role
*Minimum rate of pay - £14.25 per hour
Eligibility:
*Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (GCSE)
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*A nurturing and consistent approach
*Reliable, committed, and able to use initiative
