The opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Engineer to join the engineering team, playing a key role in supporting and improving manufacturing performance.
This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for developing, optimising and stabilising production processes, ensuring consistent output and quality across operations.
Key responsibilities include:
*Developing and optimising manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality and throughput
*Supporting new product introduction (NPI) and ensuring smooth integration into production
*Troubleshooting production issues using structured problem-solving techniques (e.g. 8D, 5-Why)
*Driving improvements in OEE, scrap reduction and overall process performance
*Working closely with production, quality and maintenance teams to resolve issues and implement improvements
*Analysing manufacturing data to identify trends and opportunities for optimisation
This role offers strong exposure across the shop floor and the chance to make a tangible impact in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
*Experience within high-volume manufacturing
*A strong production engineering background
*A hands-on approach with the ability to operate effectively on the shop floor
*Experience of structured problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies
*Good data analysis skills with the ability to drive actionable insights
*HNC/HND (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
You’ll be a proactive and practical engineer, comfortable working cross-functionally and able to influence improvements across production.
